Chris and Verena came all the way from Germany to elope in Yosemite National Park and if soulmates are real, these two are definitely proof of that. Working with them was such a fun and genuinely sweet experience from beginning to end.
On their elopement day, we explored three stunning locations in the park. They started off in their hiking clothes, fully embracing the adventurous spirit of Yosemite. At the end of the trail, they changed into their wedding attire and had their first look in a quiet, tucked-away spot where no one could interrupt the moment. Even though it was July (one of the busiest months in the park) we found a private space just for them so they could fully be in the moment with each other.
We continued exploring and captured some absolutely epic portraits up in the mountains. Then we made our way to Taft Point for their ceremony and vow exchange. That moment was something special. The spot was peaceful, the light was perfect, and their words to each other? Absolutely moving. It was one of those moments that reminded us exactly why we love doing what we do.
Afterwards, we celebrated with more photos, caught a glowing sunset, and then hiked back out to a new location for star photos to wrap up the night. And wow, the stars that night were absolutely unreal!!!
Saying goodbye to these two wasn’t easy.. It honestly felt like we’d known them forever. The kind of connection that made the whole day feel like sharing an adventure with old friends.
