Hey, I'm Lisa
And I believe that your proposal isn’t just about photos.
It’s about creating an experience that feels authentic, stress-free, and unforgettable.
Every moment should be filled with joy, connection, and the freedom to be completely yourselves.
That’s exactly what my team and I help couples like you create.
We understand how important it is to feel comfortable, seen, and completely yourself on one of the most special days of your life. That’s why we specialize in creating intimate, stress-free proposal experiences for couples who value privacy and authenticity.
Proposals are about more than just the photos. They’re about the experience, the journey, and the memories you’ll cherish forever. We’re here to help you plan every detail and capture the moments that truly matter. Whether you’re proposing on a mountaintop or by the ocean, my goal is to ensure your moment feels effortless, fun, and completely you.
We know how nerve-wracking it can be to be in front of a camera, especially if you’re camera-shy. That’s why we focus on making you feel at ease from the very first conversation, helping you relax, laugh, and fully enjoy your proposal moment. We’re not about stiff poses, we’re about real, raw moments.
“From the moment we met Lisa, she made us feel so at ease like we were hanging out with an old friend! She was there with us every step of the way, helping us relax and truly enjoy our day. When we finally saw the photos, we were in awe. They were beyond beautiful, capturing the magic, the love, and the joy of our day in ways we never imagined. We’re so grateful for Lisa’s heart and talent, and these photos will be cherished forever.”
How It All Started
My love for photography started before I could even walk!
My mom was a film photographer, and I used to play with her camera as a baby, fascinated by the magic of capturing a moment. On my 16th birthday, my parents saved up and surprised me with my first professional camera, and I spent every spare minute taking photos of nature, my classmates, and eventually, couples in love. Later, I became a wedding photographer and spent three years documenting traditional weddings until COVID changed everything. When all my weddings were canceled, a couple reached out to me with the idea of having an elopement instead of a big wedding. I said yes, not knowing it would completely shift my path. That day was unlike anything I’d experienced before. It was intimate, raw, and deeply meaningful. The couple shared joyful tears, quiet moments, and deeply personal vows surrounded by something truly magical: towering cliffs, ocean breeze, golden light, and the peaceful stillness only nature can offer. I knew, right then, this was what I was meant to do. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to helping couples create elopement and intimate proposal experiences that feel true to them.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me somewhere outside: surfing, hiking, camping, biking or rollerblading along the beach. I’m deeply connected to nature and all the little joys it brings. I’m also drawn to spirituality and believe that true happiness comes from giving: offering kindness, love, and our unique gifts to the world. I’ve always felt that our purpose in life is to discover what we’re good at and use that talent to help others. Photography and helping couples plan a celebration of their love that feels like them became my way of doing that. A way to give, connect, and be part of something meaningful.
THE MEANING BEHIND QUIETLY OURS LOGO:
If you’ve noticed the symbol in place of the “Q” in Quietly Ours, it holds something deeply personal to me: gratitude.
This symbol is more than just a design choice. It’s something I carry with me every day, quite literally. I have the gratitude symbol tattooed on me as a reminder of what truly matters in life: love, connection, and the quiet, powerful moments that shape our stories.
Life moves fast, and it’s easy to get caught up in what’s missing or what’s next. But I believe it’s so important to pause, to recognize the beauty in the present moment, and to always find something to be grateful for.
And then, there’s the illustration of two pinky fingers intertwined, wrapped in an infinity-like thread. To me, this represents an unspoken promise, a bond that doesn’t need grand gestures or loud declarations to be meaningful. It’s a symbol of trust, intimacy, and the quiet beauty of love, which is exactly what Quietly Ours is all about.
I created this brand for couples who feel the same way. Those who value presence over perfection, depth over spectacle, and the beauty of simply being together.
